Subject: Migration to Exchange and Lotus Notes encryption
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Administration
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always
Hi,
One of our Business Units have moved to Exchange. But their person document is still retained in our Domino Directory.
Tried two different options:
First option
1. Created a separate server and a copy of the domino directory (instead of replica) was created, so that it does not replicate with other address books.
2. Updated the exchange users person document as follows: changed the mail system to other internet mail, removed the domain name, updated the forwarding address to the new exchange smtp address.
3. The Domino directory in all other domino servers were retained as it is, only the person document of the users were updated as follows: the mail server was made to point to the new stand alone server.
4. Created foreign smtp documents to the exchange server.
When emails are sent by any of our users to the exchange users, it gets routed to the new domino server (as the person doc indicates it as the mail server for these users). When it reaches the standalone server, it forwards the email to exchange mail box.
So far so good. But when we send encrypted emails, the body contents in the exchange mail box is not displayed, instead displays the following message:
[Portions of this MIME document are encrypted with a Notes certificate and cannot be read.]
please let me know how to avoid the mail from being encrypted when it reaches exchange mail box.
